A 14-year-old boy from Texas was killed after leading police on a vehicle and foot pursuit on State Highway 288 in Pearland, located southeast of Houston. The boy lost control of the vehicle and hit a concrete barrier before running across the highway towards the southbound lanes. He was hit by a passing vehicle while trying to run across the lanes and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are asking for anyone with information to contact the Pearland Police Department. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. and was reported by Saleen Martin, a reporter for USA TODAY’s NOW team.
