Winemaker Conor Quilty has been hard at work with owners Frank and Elena Schwab to launch Meadowbrook Winery in Tewksbury Township, New Jersey. They have overcome various challenges, from rebranding to getting licensing approvals and planting 15 acres of vines. With the recent launch of their website, Meadowbrook’s wines are now available for sale online in New Jersey, with plans to expand to New York and Pennsylvania. They have also received zoning approval to build a tasting room, expected to open by June 2025.
Quilty’s background in vineyard work and wine production has prepared him for this ambitious venture. The winery’s portfolio includes Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, dry rosé, Albariño, and experimental blends. Quilty is excited about adding a sparkling program to the lineup and hopes to release their first bubbly around the time the tasting room opens.
Meadowbrook Winery is focused on using 100% New Jersey grapes, 75% of which come from their vineyard. With more vines being planted and coming online in the coming years, the business is poised for growth. Despite facing obstacles, the team is optimistic about the future and believes they are ready to make a splash in the wine scene.
With additional plans to expand their distribution reach and add more experimental wines to their portfolio, Meadowbrook Winery is set to establish itself as a prominent player in the New Jersey wine industry. Quilty’s passion and dedication to producing quality wines are evident in the progress they have made and their vision for the future.
