Chiara Leone of Switzerland won gold in the women’s 50m rifle three positions, narrowly beating out Sagen Maddalena of the USA for silver and world champion Zhang Qiongyue of China for bronze. Norway’s Jeanette Hegg Duestad finished fourth in the event for the second Olympics in a row. The competition is heating up in multiple events with intense rivalries and close finishes expected.
