The annual Pride Festival of Central Pennsylvania is set to return to Harrisburg this weekend, with thousands of attendees expected to gather at Soldiers Grove behind the State Capitol. The event, scheduled for July 27 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature vendors, speakers, and entertainment, with American Idol season 7 runner-up David Archuleta headlining the event.
In addition to the festival, the Pride Parade of Central Pennsylvania will make its way through Harrisburg for the first time in over a decade. The parade is scheduled to kick off at 10 a.m. at Commonwealth Avenue and will circle around the state capitol complex, showcasing pride-themed floats, vehicles, businesses, and attendees.
Among the notable guests expected at the event is United States Senator John Fetterman, who attended the 2023 Pride Festival of Central PA. The event aims to celebrate and promote diversity, inclusion, and acceptance within the community.
