Former White House physician of Donald Trump provides health update post shooting incident, criticizes FBI director Wray for questioning bullet validity.

Former White House doctor, Rep. Ronny Jackson, revealed in a letter that former President Trump is “rapidly recovering” after being shot during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. Jackson disputed FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony that the injury could have been caused by shrapnel or glass, stating there is “absolutely no evidence” he was hit with anything other than a bullet.

Jackson, who has been monitoring Trump’s health since the assassination attempt, emphasized that the former president is doing well. He clarified that Trump was struck by a bullet in his right ear fired by a would-be assassin using a high-powered rifle. Jackson criticized Wray for suggesting otherwise during a congressional hearing and called on Congress to correct the record.

Jackson, a former White House physician for multiple administrations, reassured the public of Trump’s recovery and pledged to support his ongoing care. He praised the formation of a bipartisan House task force to investigate the assassination attempt, expressing skepticism towards the FBI’s handling of the case.

The FBI continues to investigate the incident, focusing on the shooter’s motives and background. The Shooting Reconstruction Team is analyzing evidence from the scene, including recovered bullet fragments. Despite the ongoing investigation, Jackson remains confident in Trump’s recovery and critical of Wray’s statements regarding the nature of the injury.
